When it comes to under $3,000 cellos for sale in the United States, two cellos I sell on ebay have become staples in the market, simply by virtue of their solid craftsmship and outstanding tonal qulities for the dollar. One is the Johannes Kohr K-500 cello model, which I offer here on ebay for the unbeatable price of $995 with bow, cover, and pro grade strings. The bow and cover are entry level but the cello is far better than that. Having taught cello for over 20 years, I assure you it would carry you well beyond Suzuki Book 2 or equivalent in other methods (I teach Suzuki). Now, on to the Denti cello offered on this site. Los Angeles Strings is still a fairly new distributor of finely crafted handmade Chinese violins and cellos. The violinmakers they employ are not newcomers by a long shot as evidenced by the unusually fine sounding and looking woods they use and the "finished" appearance of their instruments. The Frnak Denti model is one of their less expensive ones, and their cellos go up to the $5,000 range. Comparing a LA STRINGS cello to a comparable German made instrument, one would have to triple the price of a LA STRINGS cello to find a German cello with similar qualities. The stability and projectional strength of a LA STRINGS cello are difficult to beat, and I have greatly enjoyed playing through their many cello models on numerous occasions to select the best examples in each model type. Often, I've discovered a cello which deserves to be labelled in a higher price/quality designation and only a cellist could appreciate the disctinctions. If you call me at 1-800-CELLOS-2 or 251-604-7752, I may have more to say about that. Obviously, the company classifies and labels the cellos before anyone plays on them. They have no players "in house" and often I am the first human being to drag a bow over the strings. So, you can consider this group of cellos presonally reccomended by an ebay seller with 100% positive feedback rating (read it all if you have time). I am very excited to offer this cello for on ebay. The Frank Denti cello is sold for $4,000+ in some shops and outsells all other cellos at this time. Find out what the fuss is about by trying it out on a 7 day approval period. If you live in the lower 48 US states and keep the cello after 7 days of trial, there is NO FREIGHT CHARGE AT ALL!
